An acne-free guide

The most common but difficult thing that is confronted by 85% of young adults today is dealing with acne. Acne is a part of life that comes, stays for a long time, and disappears on its own. However, acne is a natural body process that is totally okay to occur!

One should never feel unwanted and ashamed just because you have acne, instead focus on loving yourself and your skin. Because acne is a natural body process, it has to be treated naturally.

Today in this blog we will learn some habits that will help you to deal with acne naturally by including and excluding some habits in your daily routine.

1) Eat Healthy for the Gut-skin axis.

Have you ever heard of the Gut-skin axis? Well, the relationship between the skin and gut is known as the Gut-Skin axis. Firstly, A healthy gut helps properly absorb protein, vitamins, and nutrients essential for your skin health. If the gut doesn’t function properly, your skin may not get that proper nourishment.

Secondly, A healthy gut helps in the removal of waste and toxins from your body. If the gut doesn’t function well then these toxins and waste build up inside your body and will lead to acne and other skin problems.

Of course, healthy food leads you to healthy gut health so avoid junk food and go for a healthy diet strictly!!

2) Get the Beauty sleep

The concept of Beauty Sleep ensures that takes 7-9 hours of sleep every night. Prioritizing improving your sleep cycle over late-night chats and scrolling can improve your skin health. An adequate amount of sleep not only improves your skin but helps in the regeneration of cells, balancing the hormones repairing the damaged tissues, provide strength, immunity, and freshness.

“Beauty Sleep” should always be at the top of the list for any natural beauty lover. Acquiring 7-9 hours of sleep every night gives the skin time to repair and reproduce, thus helping eliminate wrinkling and dark circles while giving you that lustrous glow.  Further, your stress hormones — which sometimes play a major role in acne and other skin issues — are rebalanced with the proper amount of sleep.

Hence, East or West, The concept of beauty sleep is the best!!

3) Say goodbye to “Stress”

If you want healthy and clear skin, say goodbye to your stress. Taking too much stress every day can indeed affect your skin health. Being stressed causes hormonal disbalance to your body which is a consequence in the appearance of acne and breakouts due to overproduction of oil.

Chronic stress, if not addressed properly can be even- worse for our skin and speed up the aging process resulting in fine lines wrinkles, acne and loss of glow on complexion.

When you are stressed, Your body releases a hormone called Cortisol, which causes skin problems and increases its sensitivity. Moreover, stress can negatively affect sleep quality, leading to dark circles, and puffiness, and creating a barrier to fair complexion. In the long term, unchecked stress can influence your skin’s overall health and vitality. To mitigate these effects, it’s crucial to adopt stress management techniques such as meditation, exercise, and an adequate amount of sleep.

4) Increase your water intake

Drinking more water is the universal remedy when it comes to any health issues. Drinking more water is as crucial as maintaining your gut health for your skin. As mentioned in the first point, it is necessary to eliminate toxins and waste from the body otherwise they start to build up inside the body and cause severe skin and health issues.

Hydration is mandatory for body detoxification and decreasing the occurrence of breakouts. Water helps to deliver nutrients from the food you eat into your skin cells. It ensures that your skin receives the essential vitamins and minerals that it needs. It leaves the skin crystal clear and brighter which means fewer breakouts. Good water intake reduces the chances of constipation and promotes a healthier gut.

Aim for drinking not less than eight glasses of water a day. Not only do you feel better, but your skin also has a much greater chance of having acne when it stays hydrated.

5) Put some exercise into your daily routine

Yes, exercise does contribute to healthy skin. Exercise not only keeps your body fit but also contributes to attaining better skin health. Staying consistent with regular exercise directly affects your skin appearance first.

Firstly, daily exercise enhances your blood circulation which helps provide deep oxygen and nourishment to your skin cells. A better flow of blood regulates the feeding of essential nutrients to the skin

Secondly, the sweat that is released during exercise helps in releasing toxins and impurities from your skin. Sweating keeps the skin’s pores open and prevents them from getting clogged with dirt and oil which is a major cause of acne. But always remember to wash your skin just after sweating so that the sweat’s residue doesn’t block your skin’s pores

Last but not least, The more you exercise regularly, the healthier and better-looking your skin will be. Get some sunlight on your skin and take a walk, do yoga, or any other exercise that helps with the proper flow of blood in the body.

6) Moisturize your skin regularly

One of the most basic but important things you can do for your skin is moisturizing regularly. This should always be added to every skincare routine – in the future as well. A moisturizer is the best way to hydrate the skin as it helps to lock moisture on your skin create an invisible shield around the skin and prevent it from getting dry and irritated from outer surroundings.

Not only does it prevent dryness but it also helps to balance your skin’s natural oil, which drops the chances of acne or breakouts. On top of this, hydrated skin can repel environmental stressors such as pollution and harsh weather that can damage the skin. Regular use of an appropriate skin moisturizer can help your face feel soft and help to make it look more radiant, smoother, healthier, and even younger.

Moisturize it — Of course, try to moisturize your skin daily for better results.

7) Reduce your Screen Time for better skin

We all know our screens produce UV rays which are not good for the skin and even for health. Spending too much time on screen causes not only acne but also dullness, hyperpigmentation, and dark circles.  Our screens emit glaring blue lights and UV rays and spending too much time on them is not good in any circumstance. And besides this screen time can cause stress and poor sleep, which will only worsen the skin issues like dark circles & acne.

This will help you to protect your skin from their harmful effects and reduce exposure. Simple steps like breaks, blue light filters, and limits on daily screen use can help to make your skin healthier just the way it should be – radiant!

8) Do cleansing before sleep at night.

For cleansing, you do not always need a cleanser. You can also do this by cleansing with the help of a towel by dipping it in lukewarm water. Cleansing your face with lukewarm water gently removes the excess oil, dust, and makeup from your face and helps.

Note: Don’t forget to add moisturizer to your face after cleansing!!

9) Avoid direct contact with the sun during the daytime.

Be cautious while getting exposed to direct contact with the sun during the day if not necessary. We have read earlier that UV rays are very harmful to our skin and the sun is the primary source of UV rays. If necessary, Always wear sunscreen and cover your face while moving outside in direct contact with the sun. Not only the UV but also the intense heat produced by the sun during peak hours also creates a burning sensation in the skin which results in redness, allergies, and other skin problems.

To care for your skin, avoid exposing your skin to the sun and if it can’t be avoided, wear protective accessories such as caps and sunglasses.

10) Avoid using chemical products on your skin

Acne is a part of life that is natural. Treating them with chemicals like serum, toner, and creams can repel the result sometimes. Avoid using chemicals on your skin and you can get rid of it by changing a few habits.

Women apply various chemical products to their skin causing irritation, dryness, and long-term harm. Most skincare cosmetics have caustic substances such as sulfates, artificial perfumes, and parabens that dry out skin, upset the skin’s pH, and trigger skin sensitivities or rashes.

Natural or organic skin care products must be used to enhance the skin and avoid applying chemicals that have been known to be unhealthy for the skin.

Conclusion

Treating acne is not just a one-day or one-week activity, Instead, it is a process that takes a little time to heal. I would highly recommend letting them heal naturally because if you let it, you can get a permanent and long-term result.  Comparatively artificial products can give you instant results but it will stay for a very short time and will start to occur again once you stop using the product.

I hope it helps !!
